Stock sail panel sub question What is the part number of the newer more "durable" subs that are made out of a composite and not paper. I just ordered some replacement subs and I was given two with the part number: 16235651. My old ones were the 10447249 number.

There is no such thing. Those ads you see on eBay are merely trying to sell you a bill of goods. 16235651 has been the part number for Camaro 2-ohm SVC sail panel subs since at least 2001 when I got my parts list (i.e. there's nothing "new" about them).

KEE Audio will hook you up. He has some that are way better than the stock ones. Here is a link to the ones I have. I just know those were better than what I had.
Same part as the original. I've said this before but I'll mention it again, Delco did not go out of there way to produce a new speaker for a car that hasn't been made in 7 years. It is the exact same paper cone with flimsy foam surround that deteriorates to nothing over time which allows the cone to move laterally and blow the speaker when the voice coils touch. These speakers were poorly made to begin with and all have problems with them over a fairly short period of time.

Thanks guys for the clarification. When I said "newer", I was speaking relative to the car. I was searching the forums here and found a few posts about the newer camaros (00-02) having these subs with composite cones.
