Default 12 in box question

Alright guys so I had a dual 12 sub box that fit in the trunk of my car. I noticed that inside the box there was no seperation board, like both subs were sharing the same cubic inch. After buying a pair of fosgate p3's I had to get another box because the p3's would bottom out on the Old box. I noticed that the new box has a seperation board to seperate airspace.

Do you think I will loose bass with them having there own little space compared to sharing the whole box?

The main reasoning for the seperate chambers is if you use two amps or a 2 channel amp with each sub goin to a seperate channel. IMO, not much difference either way.

this is correct, and it also provides stability for the box but no real differance that you will see with p 3s anyways

It's better to have separate chambers in case one sub fails.

The real reason for having the seperation piece is bracing the baffle (panel your woofers mount to), nothing more.
I have two JL audio 10w3's being powered by a 1000 watts (RMS) xtant bad boy mono amp. This is way more than enough power to torch the woofers.
Have had this setup for two years know with no issues. The key is clean power. Distortion (clipping) is what kills speakers.
I have no seperators, just a dowel rod for support in the center of the box.
If you need more airspace for the woofers, you can remove the center support, then scew in a dowel rod for support. If you have enough airspace already, you are fine with the seperator. What you dont want is NO seperator AND NO support, as flexing of a long panel span will lessen the impact of your bass response. This is why fiberglass is not optimum for a large box.
Call JL Audio tech support and ask them. Their subwoofers have won many, many car audio competitions.
Google subwoofer enclosure.
You actually get a gain in bass response by using two woofers in the same airspace!
This only works if wiring them in parallel (mono sub channel). If you are running the subs off two rear channels (not the best scenario) you should use a spacer, as one channel may be putting out more power than the other. This can limit output capability.
