bose delete questions

bose delete questions im taking it all out. ive heard that i have to rewire the whole car. how true is that. and is the bose system worth anything? i have never had the head unit. but the speakers work great. just not with the aftermarket head unit i have. if anyone has any advise let me know. thanks by the way its a 94 model
yo bud just noticed your post, that bose system is not worth a penny.
I deleted all my bose crap, and your right, it is worthless. After unplugging the amp and rear sail speaker there is also another circuit board that the amp plugs into and a bunch of other wires. Get rid of ALL that!! If you still have that piece, your 2 back seat seakers will only play low frequency and you get no highs. I re-wired my 2 rear speakers to an aftermarket amp i put in. You do not need to run new wire to the speakers themselves but you would have to rewire where everything meets at the circuit board under the driver said rear removable panel.
For reference:
2 Rear speakers,
left speaker blue/white Gren/Black Wire
Right speaker is Dark green and Blue/Black wire

most aftermarket head units sound better than the factory head unit with the bose speakers. I would make sure the factory amps are hooked up to the head unit your running. It will sound really weak without it. When I did mine it was the wire listed as the power antenna in the harness. With the age of the bose speakers they weren't the greatest new and can be considered "junk"now.
