My stock speakers and amp are trashed, I dont have the monsoon system.
I plan on upgrading the system ten fold, in a few months.
But for the winter i want to get a decent system in there.
I was thinking about getting some monsoon speakers and amp.
my question is, Is the wiring the same? will i have a problem plugging in the monsoon amp and speakers, and running them with my HU.
Thanks.

If you have a factory amp in the passenger side rear wheel well, then you have a Monsoon system. If your car came with steering wheel radio controls, then you have a Monsoon system. No ifs, ands, or buts. In fact, since you have a 2001 Trans Am I think it might even be technically impossible for you to have a base sound system (4 speaker).
