Ticking?
This evening however, I noticed a slight ticking (constant) coming from my driver's side area. I lowered the volume and it seemed to disappear. If I raised the volume it came back.
I left the volume loud so I could try and track the location of the ticking, but to no avail. I switched from ipod to radio and then to CD. The ticking vanished but came right back as soon as I switched back to ipod.
Wtf? It KINDA sounds like it's coming from my driver's side door speakers, but I cant be sure. But I don't understand why it's ticking with the ipod.
I also noticed if I changed songs there'd be a multi-click (like 3 or 4 very fast repetitive clicks) and then continue with the steady tick as the song went on.
Help?
I pulled out the remote and hit the "mute" button. Instantly the ticking ceased. I figured it must be an issue with my speakers, but couldn't understand why it would happen with a CD or the Radio on full blast...
I didn't know what to do, but I decided to check my ipod to see if it was charging correctly. As I pick it up the HU resets (song stops then turns back on but PAUSED) I jiggle the ipod again, same thing. I unplug the connector from the ipod and replug it in. Everything works fine, no ticking. I think the connector was just loose or something.
So yeah... no more ticking. Woot! Glad it didn't take a whole day, mass headache, and a ton of digging to find/fix. haha.
