Default Finishing an abandoned system???

I recently bought an 02 camaro. The previous owner installed an Alpnie CDE-9874 Head Unit and a Memphis Audio S Class SC4.55 amplifier. When I recieved the car, the factory speakers were half-A** installed in the doors and rear seat side panels. Only 2 speakers work. I found some crappy wiring spliced into the factory harness and other crap. I want to hook up some speakers right and make this system sound pretty good, atleast factory or better. Here's what I'm thinking of installing: 2 Infinity Reference 6032si speakers in the front doors, 2 Kicker CompVT 6.5” Subs in the rear seat side panels and leaving the trunk side panels empty. I plan to tear out all the rigged wiring, and run the power, ground and sub output rca's for the amp. Then, run the door speakers off the head unit, and run the subs off the amp bridged? The amp is 4-channel, so I'd bridge 2 channels twice, effectively making it a 2-channel. How do you guys think this will work and sound? I listen to 99% classic rock, (skynyrd, ac/dc, steve miller band, toto, boston, etc.) and I like just enough bass to hit decent when the kick drum hits!

personally i wouldnt go with infinity but get a nice coaxial or components if ur budget allows and run them to the front 2 channels of the amp

i would do a 10" in a stealth box bridged off the rear channels and leave the sails empty or do coaxials off of headunit power

Well, im actually doing this car for my father...its just easier to speak in first-person lol. But, I tried to talk him into a 10-12" sub, but he wants to keep the speakers in the stock location and doesnt really want anything louder than stock as ar as bass goes. He's an old timer haha. I personally have a small 2-10" setup in my truck which he thinks is way too loud! And he likes some infinity's he has in his truck, so thats what hes stickin with, personal preference. But runnin the door speakers off the hu, and the subs off the amp bridged should work, right?

I have infinity in my car and truck...they sound good for what I got them for (55 a pair). They dont sound quite as good as my Alpines did but Im happy with them.

yeah but honestly amp the fronts and the subs in the sails, no need to bridge to just the sails

Honestly, what I would do is just get a set of decent components, and a set of Mid-Bass for the sails. Then, just power each channel via the amp. I'd consider 55w plenty of power for most mid-level components and mids. In fact, Kee Audio has a perfect setup for you. And it would only run you about $300 for all 4 speakers.
