Ok I've got a quick question. I know the mounting brackets are different for the monsoon door speakers in a camaro and trans am. I wanted to know if I could buy trans am monsoon speakers (because they're $100 cheaper), take the trans am mounting bracket off and put the speakers in a camaro mounting bracket because I've looked at both and the speakers look the same and like I said earlier the brackets look to be the only difference. Thanks.

The quick answer is no.
The door speakers in Camaros and Firebirds are completely different. Firebirds have component speakers with the mid and tweeter mounted separately. Camaros also have component speakers but the tweeters are mounted coaxially in the middle of the mids. The reason Firebird speakers are less expensive is because you don't get the tweeter that you get with a Camaro speaker.
I recommend you read the Monsoon FAQ sticky for more information.
