Default Remote entry is possessed!!!! Help!!!

the car : 98 Camaro M6 SS

so last night I noticed that when I locked it with the remote entry it acted like it went into panic mode and hocked the horn twice. Now it does not always do it but since yesterday it has done it about 3 times. Then after I went to bed it went into panic mode and honked twice then this morning it did it again but this time I had to go shut it off with the remote. Go back to bed then it honked twice. Now I know it was not the button getting pushed becasue the keys were on my desk, there was nothing pushing the button. Anyone got any ideas? I need to fix it asap as I am going to town and parking my car at my gf's today since she lives in a subdivision I cant have this car honking all day.

Please Help!!!!

There's a very good chance that the problem is caused by the shock sensor. They have a tendency to go bad after awhile. It's easy to check - just unplug the shock sensor and see if the problem goes away. If so, you can decide whether to buy a new sensor (about $40) or just leave it unplugged. The shock sensor is mounted to the right rear wheel well in front of the spare tire (there's a photo in the Monsoon FAQ sticky).

I have the same issue with my '00 Z28. I lock it manually and it doesn't do anything. Doesn't even set the alarm, actually, but it locks the car at least. I did turn the shock sensor all the way down, but didn't try unplugging it. I think I'm gonna try that as well.

There's a little **** on the side. It's pretty easy to see if you look at it.
