Car Alarm Problems

Car Alarm Problems Car is a 1996 Z28 M6. Has the factory car alarm setup. I can arm it and the LED on the dashpad flickers showing that it is armed. I walk away, and a few seconds (2-10ish) the car alarm goes off. It was snowing / windy the other day, so I figured I might have had it set too sensitive. I turned it down and then arm it again, walk away, same thing.
Anyone have any ideas? It's getting frustrating. A few weeks ago I got a new clutch. Before that, I was messing with the BCM to fix my radio/window issues. I fixed those, but the car alarm wouldn't arm afterwards. After getting my clutch, it started working again (because my mechanic disconnected the battery.)
I feel like it's maybe a short or something. It's an old car and there was a lot of snow on top of it. After melting maybe the wiring got wet, etc. Right now, I'm locking it with the key so it won't go off in the middle of the night.

Unplug the shock sensor. That should solve the problem (they go bad after awhile). If so, you can then decide whether you want to buy a replacement or just leave it unplugged.
