How do I bypass e-brake switch to watch DVD's?
How do I bypass e-brake switch to watch DVD's? I just installed a Clarion VZ409 flip-out in my car and want to know how I can bypass it to watch videos while I drive. Yeah I know its not safe, but I hardly drive the car and when I do its for my lady to watch when on long trips.
Anyways, I heard you can just ground the wire. Then on some units, you have to do more to bypass it. Would anyone know what I would have to do for this unit? It has a grass-green color wire and says to hook up to my park brake.

If you take out the top of the center console, (not the whole thing) there's a wire that connects to the e-brake to (I assume) ground it out, so the e-brake light comes on, headlights stay off... etc. I'm assuming if you just disconnect that, that'll get rid of all three of those things. Never had a need for it in my own car, but it'd be a quick and easy fix to try..
