Default How do I bypass e-brake switch to watch DVD's?

I just installed a Clarion VZ409 flip-out in my car and want to know how I can bypass it to watch videos while I drive. Yeah I know its not safe, but I hardly drive the car and when I do its for my lady to watch when on long trips.

Anyways, I heard you can just ground the wire. Then on some units, you have to do more to bypass it. Would anyone know what I would have to do for this unit? It has a grass-green color wire and says to hook up to my park brake.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks guys

Besides being unsafe, its illegal in most states as well. I've seen people do it though. GL

well, most people have the bypass done by a shop upon install. and some units come with the built bypass where you just hit a couple of buttons.

I know someone that hooked it up to the e-brake, and he would pull it up just a tad, but wouldnt engage the brake on the car, and it would play.

Where do you think would be the best place to ground the wire? The same ground thats on the harness?

If you take out the top of the center console, (not the whole thing) there's a wire that connects to the e-brake to (I assume) ground it out, so the e-brake light comes on, headlights stay off... etc. I'm assuming if you just disconnect that, that'll get rid of all three of those things. Never had a need for it in my own car, but it'd be a quick and easy fix to try..

As has been stated here many times before, we don't condone posting instructions on how to do something as incredibly stupid (not to mention illegal) as watching video while driving.
