welll my old advanced auto brand battery lasted 5 years and i just picked up another one today because of the price of it. I have heard great things about optima's but for more then double the price i'll take my chances haha.

My factory original battery kicked the bucket in June of 08. It was almost 7 yrs old. I replaced it with an 84 month warranty Kirkland battery from Costco for about $63. Its been going strong for the last year and a half. Sometimes my car sits for as much as 4 weeks without being started . The Costco battery fires it right up without a whimper.

BTW, for whatever its worth, Consumer Reports rated the Costco batteries up near the top. Second place if I remember right .

When work was slow and i was laid off I bought the 40 dollar autozone battery. Just looked at the sticker the other day and its been exactly 3 years. Battery still turns the car over past 50 degrees but anything under that this winter I have had to throw the charger on it to start up (Stored for the winter) Time for a new battery in the spring.

See I got one for my car but it doesn't seem to hold the charge at all on my car. I did just put it in storage. Maybe I have a small drain on the battery.

Original AC Delco battery, starting the car since July 2000. Car has done tons of sitting (28,000 miles) and the battery is ever disconnected. The eye of the battery is bright green and it never struggles.

AC delco will get my business again if this one ever dies.

Keep in mind that the green eye indicator on a battery only tells you about the cell it's attached to. Unless they've changed designs over the years, you're only reading the condition of one cell, the rest of the battery could be toast...
