Resync not working help

Resync not working help I have a 98 c5 replaced the battery on my remote and tried to resync it using the dic when I get the the un+lock button hold down together on the fob screen it wont do anything. I got to do something because it makes me nervous not having a alarm on my car and annoying having to use the key everytime. passive not working either. the remote does have a little rattle in it I took it apart to see if anything is loose but didnt see anything.
