Power Antenna Problems

New to ls1tech and just bought a 99 trans am last week. The power antenna is bent and has fallen into the fender. Was wondering where to get a factory replacement or if there is one out there that is better. Also would a factory antenna work with a pioneer face unit?...Thanks!

As to the radio, all models are different but it should have a wire on the harness (usually blue) that is for power ant (it will be marked) and the radio will control the antenna from that. Some models will even raise lower the antenna only when you need the radio and when you switch to CD or Aux it will lower the antenna. Look the back of your radio and you will see it pretty clearly.

You don't need a replacement antenna. If enough of the mast is sticking up so you can grab a hold of it, you can just replace the bent mast. P/N 10256439 $34 from gmpartsdirect
