steering wheel control output

Default steering wheel control output

i have a question if any one knows.

do our our steering wheels controls use resistive output or do theu use some wierd gm signal.

It's been discussed a number of times here but why not one more...

The steering wheel controls are a single wire system. Each switch has a different resistance value. The head unit compares the voltage on the steering wheel control wire to a reference voltage on its battery connection to determine which switch is pressed.
