Electrical Gremlins..Help I want to buy this 99 C-5 from my father. Nice little car with 100K on it, Just a couple of issue's.. I know this part for a fact...he left his windows open during a rain storm and now the power seat Drivers side does not work it moves forward and will not stop moving forward. The radio does not work either no power to it at all no time displayed.. dead. Any Idea's? I checked the usual fuses ect. He even bought the black box under the seat that controls it still moved forward. He is willing to give me a good deal on it but I don't want to chase this electrical problem. To far....

Does the car have any other issues at all as far as driving, idle, ignition is concerned?
I'm not sure if early c5s had HUD, does that work and show accurate information?
I also just read a thread on here about BCM issues on fbodies, PM whitebird00 about it.
Before you make the purchase I'd suggest you check all grounds and try to get access to a scan tool to chase down the electrical gremlins.
As a very last option, if you really want this car and you are getting a VERY nice family discount. I 'd suggest maybe rewiring the car with a new harness.
