Default Annoying problem

Had my gears installed a couple of days ago. Since the install, my stereo has not worked. It turns on and will give sound for a couple of seconds then no sound at all, but does have power. I thought the deck might have gone bad, so put in my old deck that works and same issue. I tried checking wiring (I am no pro, I admit) but everything seemed ok. Anyone ever come across this or have advice? This is annoying. At the moment don't have money to play with to have a stereo shop do it.

Sure enough, it was the ground connection from the cap to the body, which of course goes to the amp. Must have come loose or something when the car was raised and dropped. All in all, feels good to have the stereo working again.
