Default What size wire for start buttons and switches?

Hello guys, what size wire is needed for wiring a push button, momentary switch, or toggle for the starter?

Whats size is preferred and whats the smallest you can go?

Thanks!

Probably either 12 or 14 ga. for the solenoid. I think I'd use 12 if I were doing it.

I'm just curious about the size of the wire between the relay and the switch.

You dont need big wire to solenoids/relays for the switch. From the batt to the solenoid or solenoid to starter you want big wire like 4 gauge, but just from power to the solenoid you can run 20 if you want. All the power from the switch to the solenoid is doing is telling the solenoid to pass electricity through it and it doesnt take much amperage to do that.
