Default ACCY terminal empty

I'm plugging in my radar detector and my Interceptor, and I found info on the IGN, BATT, and ACCY terminals in the fusebox. Why is the ACCY terminal empty on some cars?

So you can a radar detector without butchering an existing circuit.

What i mean is... there is no terminal in there. I have a terminal in IGN and BATT, but not in ACCY. I was reading through other posts and someone else said they didn't have a terminal in there either.

Interesting... I've never seen one with a missing terminal but I suppose GM could have decided at some point that the ACCY terminal is redundant. It does the same thing as the IGN terminal except that it is also live during retained accessory power (RAP) operation - after the ignition is switched off but before a door is opened.

In your case, the IGN terminal will work fine because you don't need a radar detector after you've shut off the ignition.
