Autometer Tach and Speedo questions..
Autometer Tach and Speedo questions.. I'm wiring up some autometer stuff in my 63 pick up. I have a factory 01 F-body computer and using a 4L80E trans.
I'm assuming the tach is fairly simple.
Set in to 4 cyl mode
Give it power, ground and illumination from the headlamp swith.
Provide it a tach signal from the PCM
Speedo, I'm not sure exactly how to do this one. There is the normal power, ground, and illumination, but then there is the input signal terminal and an output terminal. I'm assuming the input needs to come from the VSS or computer.
What do I take VSS from?
Do I need to hook the output up to anything?
