Stereo System Help. Hey guys. I've been having an issue with my system where it will randomly completely shut off, sometimes it comes back on, sometimes it doesn't. It has had this issue ever since I bought it. I did not put the system in, nor am I advanced in car electronics. Sometimes it can happen if you brake or accelerate quickly. Also when the stereo goes off the windows will not go up or down, but everything besides that and the stereo will work. I have some sort of dpvideo head unit, stock door speakers, sub, and 3 amps ( I believe one is 100 amps and the other 2 are 50 but im not 100 percent sure on that.). My car is a 1999 white trans am ws6 if that helps any. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

This is often caused by broken solder joints on the printed circuit board of the BCM. A simple and inexpensive fix is described in this thread. The original poster deleted many of the descriptions and photos but they were recreated later in the thread.
