Can't program swi-jack to version 1
This is driving me nuts. I've been searching and searching and can't find anything helpful.
I bought a PAC swi-jack for my 99 TA with Alpine CDA-9886 HU a while ago but never installed it. I went to put it in today, got the connections hooked up, and went to program it.
Instuctions say I need version 1. I hold the program button, red LED lights up. Turn to ACC ON, release button, LED stays lit for a second or two then turns off.
Now it says to press prog button one time for version one. I hit button, nothing happens. About 10 or so secs later the LED flashed 3 times quickly, quick pause and one more flash.
I tried this a bunch of times but can't figure it out...

Did you hook up the blue and black (from the steering wheel switches) wire to the green wire ?
The purple and brown wires are to be looped (not cut)
Use these instructions: http://www.pac-audio.com/swixprogram...ehicles&ID=108

I was just thinking and might have figured it out. If the unit is hooked to switched power, then the LED shouldn't light up before I turn the ignition to ACC ON right?
Well mine does. I hooked it up to the red switched power wire in the adapter harness, but now I'm thinking that line is getting steady power.
