I'm not sure I believe you. Did you confirm this through double-blind ABX testing? Or perhaps a substandard encoder like Xing was used. While I hate the MP3 standard, 320Kbps with a good encoder should be good enough to be transparent to anyone, and I mean anyone. (Note that I am NOT calling you a liar - rather, I think you're falling victim to the placebo effect.)

No I didnt do any blind taste testing or anything. I based my opinion on listening to about a dozen different songs and not all of them had the same quality. I know iTunes says their stuff is 256k but its not the same.
