Does anyone know if this interface will work for an mp3?

Does anyone know if this interface will work for an mp3? They arent specific in the ad (or any other place I found it) they just say its an auxilary input interface. I'd rather get this over the $60 one lol.

That's just the adapter harness for the X3 module. You would have to buy the X3 module separately (which explains the low price).
The X3 module allows you to connect up to three auxiliary inputs (MP3 player, satellite radio, etc.) to a compatible OEM head unit. In f-bodies, it is compatible with cassette head units from all model years and CD head units after 1999.

So whats the Novak mod? Sorry guys ima mustang guy (im using my dads user name lol) so I dont know a bunch about the F-bodies (minus the motors

Jason Novak, a member here, posted a write-up about how to modify the internals of a stock head unit to accept auxiliary input without using one of the external adapters (such as the X3 or the GM9-AUX). The parts cost only a couple of dollars and the modification is fairly easy if you are used to doing wiring projects.

Ok yeah thats what I thought and yeah like I said I could probably do (took all the electronics classes in HS and have done a lot of wiring) but this is my dads car so if I screw it up that'd really suck lol.

Well now that I got over that cold the Novak mod made more sense (Nyquil does weird things to a brain lol). Looks really easy I just gotta get my dad to go along with it lol.
