Got mine mounted on two brackets that hold the amp up, then mounted the cap under the carpet where the jack would go. Hid all wires under the carpet and in the spare tire area. Also, the speaker is self fabed into the divider so that there isn't allot of extra weight from a box of some sort. It actually sounds really good, it uses the entire trunk space as the box. The speaker is also ready for quick removal for when I want to take it to the track and have that little extra weight reduction. I know, its not super sexy in looks, but its rather clean and works well.

That is exactly the same way I mounted mine. Just remove the spare and I cut a piece of plywood out and mounted the plywood to the spare tire mount and then applied sound deadening to the plywood to keep vibrations down. Then I mounted the amp to the plywood and it works out great. Only issue is I don't have a spare anymore, but it's not a DD for me so not a worry.

mine is done with some thick metal instead of wood since i drive aggressively and wanted the comfort of knowing nothing would come loose. Ive had that in there for a year now and its never overheated and i am from Florida and live in VA now, and we get hot.

How was it cutting that panel for that sub enclosure? I have the one in the "storage" area - but I'm thinking of putting my two Alpine stackable amps in that spot - and moving the sub to the other side...the panel in your car looks like it's twisted a bit after the cutting...
