Default steering wheel controls

Got an aftermarket stereo installed about five years ago. At the time didn't think I really needed the steering wheel controls. Now I do! (clarification; wife does) Easy to do? pay a pro?

Very easy if it is a stereo supported by someone like PAC.

Sony, Alpine, JVC, Kenwood...

I've read really good things about the axxess aswc. Says it's cheaper and easier to program than the PAC

They are usually very easy to install only a couple of wires. The PIA parts are finding the harness that has the steering wheel control wires in it and then programing the buttons. Programing is not really complicated just time consuming.

Couldn't be easier. Just be sure you get the right box and wire it up. It should be one (green?) wire that you splice into behind the dashboard.
