12 inch sub in the cubby?
I searched and I couldn't find anything relavent to this question:
Has anyone squeezed a 12 inch sub into the drivers rear cubby?
I bought the car with a 10 inch explode and a crappy home-made box, with an explode amp. I am upgrading to kenwood component speakers up front, kicker 6.5" subs in the rear seats, and I want to get a better sub for the rear.
If I cant go 12 I might look at a kicker sub or maybe a JL Audio, something quality.
Recommendations welcomed.

Cody

I am trying to keep this on a budget as well, Im doing pretty good thus far.
That is a 10inch hole, same as mine.
Im wondering if a 12 is possible though..

I've strongly considered trying this setup.

I would love to see a pic if you would be so kind! Did you make the box? Install yourself? How big of a PITA was it?

I didnt build the box, i bought it like this. Installation is easy, just slides in there and actually stays put very well. Pics where taken in the dark so bear with me a little, although i think my flash did a good job.

You said you bought the box? From where? Do you know how big in cubic feet the box is? It looks pretty small, so Im wondering how it works too? Does it sound nice?
This has me thinkin I might be able to pull it off!!
I bought the box from a member here, I'm pretty sure he said its about .67cu. ft. That Alpine is very deep and i was surprised it fits in there, and actually sounds pretty good. defenitly not for bumping but has good sound. i have to turn up the deep bass in the eq to get it to sound perfect. oh yeah and it has the stuffing stuff inside, that helped.Would you be intrested in buying this one? might save you the hassle of building one.
