remote Start help

remote Start help Installed my 5901.....Alarm works perfect door locks and prox sensor ..perfect..only thing doesnt work is the remote start
The car will unlock the alarm try to start the car..all the lights turn on car then does nothing ....i get no warning or error codes
help once i finsh this i can make a well needed remote gudie

put your key in the ignition or just set it on top of the ignition newer cars have to have a bypass an usually if u have an extra key u can ziptie it under the dash near the igntion and it should work my buddy was having the same problem with his 94 z28

so i got it to work thanks to southpaw....^^thanks for the other suggestions..
NOW new problem......when i put the car in DRIVE OR REVERSE 1,2,3..... The odometer, gas gauage and temp stop working like i lose power to gauages...happens with remote sstart or key start
