replacing factory door speakers hey guys, I have a factory monsoon system in my 2000 SS. one of my door speakers have blown.. my question is what is a good replacement ?
These mount like stock but also wire up like stock as well. Camaros have a unique situation in that they are coaxial speakers (tweeter mounted in the center of the speaker) but are the tweeter and midbass portions are wired separately. SO you have 4 wires running to one speaker...2 pairs. The CDT CV versions wire up like this for easy install and great sound. The tweeters also are aimable so that the high frequency can be aimed upward and not hit you in the back of leg for much better imaging.
