Default Alarm question ??

Anybody know what wire in the ignition detects that the key is present ?? In other words the key sense wire, most of the wire diagrams on the net say the wire doesnt exists but i know it does because when you remove the key it triggers the lights???

Any help on this would be great!!

Its a 2002 camaro z28

Thanks in advance !!

The ignition key sense wire is the light green wire in position C14 of the 32-pin blue connector at the BCM. I assume it is the same color at the steering column but I don't have my schematics handy.

perfect, I installed a push to start alarm and I have to keep the key in the ignition to unlock the column, so that's throwing the alarm off and its not unlocking doors when I turn off the car. I'll look for the cable today.

Thanks.

thanks for your response, I have another question for those who have an aftermarket alarm installed.

my alarm has the feature of locking after the car is started and unlocking after the car is turned off. but my car is only locking and not unlocking after turning off the car.

I was wondering if anybody off the bat know what could be the problem ?

thanks in advance.
