The previous owner to my car installed sony radio, he cut off the factory harness & rewired the actual harness for the Sony & I ended up buying the car w/out a radio, I jus recently bought a 02 factory Monsoon & my concern is if I were to go to a junk yard & come across a 94-97 Firebird/camaro that has the factory harness to plug into the back of the headunit will it have the same connection as the 98-02?

Thats a standard GM 21 pin plug. They used it for about 20 years. Its in probably half the GM vehicles in the junkyard. Look for anything late, late 80s up to probably mid 2000s. They are in trucks, cars, vans, anything GM, Pontiac, Olds, Buick, Cadillac, all of them. You want the part he cut out of the car, so just find a car with no radio, locate the big connector for the radio and snip it out. Then you can go and splice it back into your car's wiring to make it accept OEM radios again.

You can also buy a new connector pigtail for around $10. It's Metra part number 71-1858.
