Need Help Replacing Stock Stereo System Hello all!
I just got my '02 TA WS6 a few days ago and am so excited!! One thing I am not too pumped about though is the stereo in it. The owner before me blew out the 2 middle speakers (the two by the back seats) so he just removed those two. My car is pretty loud and the current system doesn't cut it.
This is where I need your help. I want to gut the whole thing (head unit/speakers) and start fresh. I will eventually put amp/subs in it but that can wait for now. I want something with great quality and will put out a lot of power and sound very crisp. I guess I am looking for a head unit and 6(?) speakers. What do you guys recommend? When it comes to my audio I am not strict on the budget so almost everything is fair game.

Forget the rear (hatch) speakers completely. Sail panel speakers are supposed to be for bass but they aren't going to "put out a lot of power" at all. You need to go with a real subwoofer for that.
