No iPod search function control with Alpine I have the Alpine 9885 headunit with the iPod cable and a new iPod touch. I can't search the ipod music library with the headunit.
Anyone know why or what might be the issue? The search function works properly with my old ipod classic.

When used with the KCE-422i Alpine Full Speed Connection cable (500KCE422i, included in the box), your receiver can interface with most Apple iPods with a dock connector. You can quickly and easily search through all of the music contained on your iPod by Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, Podcast, Genre, or Composer. You can view artist, album, song, and track number on the head unit's display. The unit can be used with the following iPod versions:

Yeah I talked with a Crutchfield tech and they said Apple was kind enough to change things with the new iPods, where the older headunits will not charge the ipods nor will they control certain functions.
