It is a dealer part that probably has no aftermarket equivalent. The part number is 15306189 - $73 from the dealer, somewhat less online.

Try gmpartsdirect... they have it for $37 but be careful because they are notorious for inflated shipping and handling charges.

I recently had an issue with high shipping for a seat belt. It turns out the third party catalog (TradeMotion) that they and many other dealers use on-line had some parts incorrectly classified, like my seat belt. This caused the shipping to be inflated. If anyone ever has a question about the shipping, you can email the guys at gmpartsdirect and they will get it correct for you.

Before anyone starts throwing flaming posts at this one - keep in mind that a company like Trade Motion isn't going to invest money to get a parts catalog for old cars 100% correct. When our cars were made, eCommerce was in its infancy. (Less than a decade after Al Gore invented the internet.) We're lucky to have what we do for these cars!

So i finally had a chance to look up the part number you gave me and it just the connector. Im looking for the module itself (the black box behind the radio) Would you happen to know where to find it? Thanks for the help!

Sorry, I mistakenly read the line below the one I intended. That's what I get for not using my reading glasses. The module part number is 10407669. It retails for $215 and is available online for $152.

It's interesting that the module is called the auto headlamp control module but the connector is the daytime running lamp control module connector. (the module serves both functions)

I looked for a DRL module for a while (because my turn signals were messing up), but then figured out that the DRL module isn't a necessity for the car. To fix the turn signal light problem I disconnected one of the connectors on the back of the DRL module and just wired the turn signals to their power source. If you just rewire a few things, you can avoid spending $250 on a DRL.

Good thinking! Except that you end up with no DRLs, no automatic headlights, no brake warning light, and if you have a manual transmission, no hatch release.
