Default Stock radio Spped Control

The stock radio in my car had a **** where you could make an adjustment to allow the radio sound to increase with the speed of the car. Is this controlled by the radio itself or the BCM? because I swear my Sony HD radio gets louder when I get on the Highway. I know Sony is Good but I don't know about this so I just figured I would ask.

The Sony may have a similar feature. There is a VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) wire in the Camaro's radio harness. That is how the stock radio knew the car's speed increased/decreased. Some aftermarket radios also make use of this to have speed-sensitive volume.
