Default Infinity bass link.... Installed

been back and forth on either getting the custom sub box or taking the Infinity out of my Lightning and installing it where the spare tire is located. Went with the Infinity and this thing beats like crazy.... Here are some pics:

Fits very snug... almost like that space was made for the basslink.

Now I got to buy another one to put back in the Lightning but it is cheaper than the custom set up.

How does it sound?
My .02 cents be to wrap that area in some kind of sound insulation like dynamat to get a solid place for the sub.

I did the exact same thing with my Infinity basslink about a year ago! Looks good man. I was surprised at how good it actually sounded. My only advice might be to make sure the plastic panel is secured as tight as possible with the factory screw attachments as it occasionally vibrates. I used some of that garage door adhesive foam tape to fix it...

to my surprise..... the rattle is very limited. I do not listen to much rap (mainly rock Van Halen, Bon Jovi, etc etc). I did have some older rap in the cd player and the rattle outside was minimal when I had the volume up. Sound is def. a plus and I could not be happier. I am toying with the idea of using some type of insulator in the well. Maybe some dynamat or something like it.

Thanks for the replies
