Default double din question

I am tired of looking at my plain pioneer head unit and want to get one of the "double ones" I honestly don't know what to call it, but the fancy touch screen ones, and I was wondering if when I get the new head unit it will just plug right into the wires already there?

I'm sure this is a dumb question but I just rarely focus on stereos and stuff. lol
