Default sub recommendations

I am looking for some sub options for my g8. I'm going to make a fiberglass enclosure in my spare tire well. I'm looking at a sealed box with around 2.6 ft^3.
What I am looking at is to be running 1700-2200 rms. Either share through 2 10s or 2 12s or 1 15. Price wise id like to be around or under $200. Thanks for your help.

I was gonna say RE SEX, a little closer to the budget and power level desired. A single cone would be plenty for a G8 cabin, if your enclosure can support a 7" depth.

Holy rms wattage! You going that high cuz you'll be using a sealed box? If so, you planning on upgrading your electrical? Thats a heavy draw.

I know from past installs sealed sounds best, in my opinion. But if you wanted to get some louder boom out at a lower RMS wattage total you could go ported.

Interested on what you end up with: subs, amp, electrical upgrades

Type X alpine never dissappoint

Best of luck, keep us posted

My first plan was to repair my amp so I didn't have to buy a new one but I may just get a ne amp and subs. So depth wise I have at least 1 So with lower rms what kinds of sub and amp pakage would be good? Also, Ill need four 12s for my truck and 2 for my g8 and 2 amps.

With 2.6ft^3 of air space, I'd do a single 12" and port the enclosure. 1000 watts rms will be plenty. Look into DD, SSA, Image Dynamics, Fi, Dayton, Sundown, stay away from RE their stuff went down the drain after '06. I highly recommend the 12" Fi Q, plenty of output with great sound quality and if you plan on running more than 1000 watts rms you should get the cooling upgrade. If you just want to be loud go with DD (Digital Designs).
