Easy sub/amp wiring question
2x 10" Alpine Type R's - 2 ohm dual voice coil - 600w RMS 1800w peak
Alpine MRP-M1000 mono block amp - 1000w RMS @ 2ohms, 600w RMS @ 4ohms
How do I wire these properly? I think I have the right method, but please let me know if I do/don't

Here's my 2 second paint shop diagram, is this correct, and what power with this put out in total or to each sub? If I'm right, does that mean each sub gets 1000 or would it be split between the two, getting 500rms each? Just need to know how to wire it up and what the best output for them should be. Thanks

In the second diagram, you have the voice coils wired in series producing 4-ohms per sub and the two subs wired in parallel producing 2-ohms at the amp.
In either case, you will produce 500 watts RMS per speaker for a total of 1000 watts from the amp.
Only difference comes down to physical placement of the cones relative to the amp, IE one solution may require shorter wire runs. Using less wire will make one very marginally better than the other with less impedance, if you want to be really, really picky.
