Mosoon head unit Are the corvette and F-body delco monsoon HU's the same?
I tried to replace a cassette HU with CD changer with a CD monsoon unit with CD changer but the connector for the cd changer is not the same.
the cassette HU has an extra 4pin connector below the CD changer connector, the CD HU does not have that. Is the a CD unit with matching connectors?

If you're talking about the two vehicles in your signature, they're not Monsoon. The "premium" audio system in a 94 Camaro was Bose. The "premium" system in C5 Corvettes was also Bose but a completely different system from the one used in early 4th generation Camaros. They are not interchangeable.

thanks but no, the monsoon CD HU is not the stock one from my 94, I bought that one to upgrade the stock unit because the CD player went out. The new CD stock unit is the LS style, but its missing one connector. I was expecting all of the LS style HU's to be interchangeable between 4th gen F-bod's and corvettes. Is that not the case?

Yes and no. The "Monsoon" head unit is nothing but an ordinary base audio system Delco radio with an extra label on the face. The thing that makes it a Monsoon system is the external amp and the special speaker configuration. So a Monsoon head unit will work as a replacement in a C5 Corvette that had a base audio system but not in one that had the premium (Bose) audio system.
The Monsoon head unit isn't even totally interchangeable between Chevy and Pontiac versions. Yes, the connectors are basically the same and you can use it but the face color, illumination, and features are different between the models.
