Viper 5701 no start

Default Viper 5701 no start

I have a viper 5701 and cant seem to get it to start.. if I jump the 2 wires with a fuse it will start no problem as soon as I connect the harness to the alarm I have no starter any body have any ideas?

are you talking about jumping the green and purple heavy wires. If so then the alarm is either in armed mode, or the internal relay is bad.

yes thats what I ment... has anybody attempted to replace the relay?

technically you don't need to replace the relay on the board, you could wire an external one up and use the thin purple wire on the 18 pin harness to trigger it and a second relay to add back starter kill/anti-grind. If you need a diagram to wire it let me know.
