Thinking about amplifying front 6.5s

Thinking about amplifying front 6.5s I have an aftermarket Pioneer HU and all speakers are still driven by the Monsoon amp. I have a 4 channel Boss Amp (170w/ch rms) and am using 2 channels (bridged mono) to drive my 10" Audiobahn sub.
I have been thinking of driving my front 6.5s (I'll purchase some aftermarket speakers first) from the 2 unused channels on the Boss. While I have everything pretty well balanced now, I'm thinking the imaging and less re-loading would be accomplished if I gain up those fronts.
Thoughts?
