2000 Camaro SS Audio System Build
I figured i would post my system build for the car. I got tired of having a terrible monsoon system and wanted something more. Ive never spent a lot of money on a system before so i figured F**K it, im going ham. I already partially finished the front sound stage and im waiting on the rest of my stuff to come in. Heres what i have so far
Front components: Rainbow Audio SLC 265.25
Rear Woofers: CDT HD-6MSUB 6.5" DVC Subwoofer
4 Channel Amp: Alpine MRX-F65 (110 rms @4 ohm)
Head unit: Kenwood KDC-X395 (Temporary till upgrade to a double din)
Wiring Kit: Rockford Fosgate 4awg kit (Full copper, high strand count)
I have spacer rings on order as well as a dynamat equivalent to coat the front doors and the rear panels. The stock wiring of the monsoon system is garbage so i decided to rewire the entire vehicle but while keeping all the monsoon wiring in tact so when i sell the car its a quick switch back to stock if thats how i want to do it.
i have a few pictures but i will take more as the build continues.
the woofers and the rainbow crossovers
the OEM gm monsoon amp and the upgrade, i wanted a smaller sized amp so i could fit it in the stock location but i may be moving it later on regardless

I love the build. Was there already that hole for the the sub? Never seen a sub hidden there but would like to do mine like this. How bout the oposite side?
And what size is that sub by back seat?

Update: Here are the tweeters custom mounted in the A pillars. I wish i took more pics when i did this but basically all i did was measure it all out then dremel the holes. Then used an epoxy glue on the mounting bucket. Then used the screws it came with to secure the tweeter to the bucket.
Heres the enclosure im going to be using from DoubleDmods (sponsor on this site)
The image dynamics 10 inch sub
Well the sub wouldnt fit in the box so i had to dremel the sh*t out of it to make it fit
Heres why it wouldnt fit, those support arms on the sub make it so i had to remove alotttt of material.
It fits! now...

TECH Resident
because the 10" will hit the notes that a 6.5 wont an the 6.5's bridge a decent gap between the 10 and the components...
personally im going to run
6" mids in the doors - on an arc audio 4 channel bridged getting 200rms a pop
3" morel tweeter - on an HCCA 225g4 getting about 60rms each
and a DD 1508 8" - on a jl audio j2500.1
its all about the frequency and making sure every range is covered.

Does anyone recommend me using a bass **** for the sub? I could always tune it thru the headunit but it is a little annoying.
