Default Stock CD player and burned discs?

Just bought a 2000 Trans Am, with the stock 12 disc CD changer in the trunk. Now, all of my music is digital, so I loaded the cartridge with burned cd's (label down, of course). And fired it up. Nothing. I can hear the shuttle clicking and whiring, but eventually I get E30 and it shuts itself off. E30 is a focus error. I don't actually own any "real" cds to verify it works, can anyone verify that it should or should not play a burned CD?

Mine never did either. I believe they are only capable to play true audio cd's.

It will play burned audio CD-Rs. It will not play CD-RWs and it will not play data (MP3) CDs.

It can be fussy about the CD-R blank used. The cheap green CD-Rs don't work well - use the darker blue ones. Recording speed can make a difference so use 10x or slower if you have that option in your recording software.

Oh, and a quick search for "CD-R" would have found this out without waiting.

Darn it. I searched for cd changer, didn't think to search for the disk type. Guess my search Fu isn't that good.
Thanks for the info, I will try a different disc type, and change the recording speed, see if that helps.
