yes, but you will need a 2000 or newer to make sure the CD player will control the changer, some 99's (MAY) work, but its a gamble.

Well, yes it will work but it will be gray instead of black and will have orange/red illumination instead of blue/white. The Camaro radio had automatic volume control which wasn't on the Firebird version but the Firebird had a graphic equalizer that the Camaro didn't. The mounting and the wire harness connectors were the same but the radios were somewhat different.

Why pay someone to do something you can do yourself in about 15 minutes? You can unbolt and remove the CD changer and just tuck the harness up under the trim panel near the left rear speaker (that's where the harness is stored on cars that don't have a changer).

The radio is held in with only three screws. Carefully pry off the trim panel, remove the screws using a 7mm socket and pull the radio out. Unplug the harness and antenna, plug in the replacement radio, push it back into the dash, put in the screws and push on the trim panel. That's all there is to it.

You can probably get a good deal on a replacement head unit on ebay. Lots of people sell them when they upgrade to an aftermarket system.
