sail panel speaker issue.

sail panel speaker issue. I have an 01 ws6. Ive only had the car for about a month and a half. When i first got the car to be honest the last thing on my mind was the radio. I checked to make sure it worked of course but thats about as far as that went. The guy i bought it from had an old pioneer 6800mp deck in it it and had some 10s in the back, which he kept. Anyhow, i decided the other day i was just gonna go cruise around and listen to the radio and i noticed there was hardly any bass. There is nothi g coming from either sail panel speaker. Searched through the forums and found other people with similar issues but no fix. Since i couldnt find any realbass adjustments on the pioneer i put in my trusty ole alpine 9855 this morning and still nothing....everything is wired correctly. Do i need to splice into anything to get them working with an aftermarket head unit? Speakers could be blown i suppose but i figured what are the chances of just those not working and everything else perfect but idk. Sry for the long post, wanted to be thorough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
could be blown, could be disconnected at the speakers, or hell they could even not be there. I have read all these come up on here at some point. rule those out first as it's easy to do and go from there.
try testing a different speaker in those locations, if a different speaker plays then your question is answered and there blown if the working speaker does nothing then we will need WhiteBird00 and his electronic geniusness to help as I'm not to familiar with the monsoon setup (assuming you are a monsoon setup to begin with).

Ok finally got around to messing with it...drivers side sail panel speaker wasnt making a good connection, plug wasnt all the way plugged in. Once i got that it started going. Passenger side is shot. No sound at all coming from it and i switched the drivers side speaker to that side and it worked. So i guess all i need is one speaker and im good to go. Didnt have quite as much thump as i was hoping for though.
