Default Changing head unit

I currently have the CDA-9886 in my GTO. I want to buy the CDE-HD137BT and install that. Will I need to buy a different adapter for the back?

Connector looks to be the same, but see if you can find digital copies of each manual and compare them pin to pin.

Dammit. I don't have the bracket keys to remove the head unit.

You shouldn't need keys to get out an aftermarket head unit. Did you install it?

I tried the auxiliary input adapter, but it didn't work. So, I'm going to order one with an auxiliary input on the front. I want to spend between $100 and $150. Any recommendations?

I might go with this one. Do I need to buy another adapter?

By adapter, I assume you are referring to the wire harness adapter, if so, probably not (assuming it was installed properly), if the original aftermarket radio was installed using a wire harness adapter then that adapter is wired to the harness of the after market radio (colored coded so you can't screw it up), if this is the case simply remove the wire harness from the car, undo the splices (or cut to the car side of the adapter from the splices) and wire the NEW radios harness to the wire adapter and plug everything up.

now if you're talking about an aux input adapter, then probably not, an alpine aux adapter will not work with a kenwood cd player.
