Are we talking about a CD head unit or a CD changer?
The changer will plug right in - there is no difference between model years.
The head unit will mount the same and plug right in but you should make sure it's from the same model (Camaro or Firebird). The Camaro and Firebird radios had some differences in appearance (black vs. gray as well as blue/white illumination vs. orange/red) and in features (automatic volume control vs. graphic equalizer).
