Non-Monsoon to Monsoon. Possible?

Non-Monsoon to Monsoon. Possible? I have a '98 Z28 that has the standard sound system (non-monsoon). When I got the car it had a cassette unit, but I replaced it with a CD unit with iPod out. Since I want to keep the stock look, I was hoping I could upgrade to a monsoon system. Is this possible since I have the standard system can I add a monsoon amp by simply plugging it in?
to do so would require you get your hands on a stock monsoon amp, it's associated wiring (non monsoon wiring is way different and the monsoon related wiring isn't in the car to start with, the rear plastics (where the hatch speaker go) plus all the speakers (since they are completely different from the non-monsoon system) at which point you would be better off with doing aftermarket everything.

I get why some people wanna keep the "stock" look but there are plenty of HU's and mounting kits that make aftermarket decks look pretty decent and sometimes even better than stock IMO:
And second, when it comes to sound quality, the stock Monsoon HU is pure crap. When I installed my new HU it was like switching from Floppy Discs to Blu Ray. Sound is much more crisp at all volume levels.

At over $100 when you option it out it can get pricey but worth it for the clean look IMO.
