Radio shortage issue (Help Please!)
Radio shortage issue (Help Please!) Hey guys I replaced my monsoon radio with another one and since I replaced it the battery dies out in a few days, I then took the fuses out and the battery no longer dies. I know the issue is with the radio or the wiring but I never messed with the wires, it was just plug & play basically. Anyone know what the most common issue is with that problem?
Nope everything is stock. The only thing I can think of is the when I open my driver door the radio doesn't shut off unless I open the passenger door, since I bypassed my VATs it's been doing that. But the radio shorting out the battery happened after I replaced the monsoon deck

Something weird is going on. Others can correct me if I'm wrong, and it may be different with TAs but my head unit turns on from accessory power. If your head unit is staying on, then your antenna and Monsoon amp are also most likely on. I would try manually turning off the radio every time I shut the car off (for a few days) and see if you're still having battery issues. I've done the VATS thing as well - with no issues. How did you wire the resistors? Did you back feed the connector but leave the connector connected? I cut the 2 wires before the connector (from the ignition switch) and soldered and heat shrinked that.
